Default Nameservers #
By default, the nameservers for your domain will be pointed to the domain registrar. This allows your domain to resolve correctly without any additional configuration.
Custom Nameservers #
If you need to change your nameservers, you can do this through your client portal. Follow these steps to update your nameservers:
- Log in to Your Client Portal: Use your credentials to access your account on the client portal.
- Navigate to the Domain Management Section
- Update the Nameservers: Enter the new nameserver details into the provided fields.

Pointing a Domain to Us #
If you’re pointing your domain to us, you can use the following nameservers:
- Nameserver 1: ns1.octaweb.co.uk
- Nameserver 2: ns2.octaweb.co.uk
Using Custom Nameservers #
Alternatively, if you have nameservers provided by your hosting provider, you can enter those details into the appropriate fields.
Propagation Time #
Please note that changes to nameservers may take up to 24 hours to propagate fully. This period is necessary for the DNS changes to update across all servers worldwide.
